WWE Is Promising Big Things For Sasha Banks If She Returns

Sasha Banks has been absent from WWE since WrestleMania 35, where her and Bayley dropped the Women's Tag Team Championships to The IIconics.

Banks and Bayley were reportedly informed at the last minute and were against the booking decision, believing they needed longer runs with the titles. Banks was a no-show for the following day's episode of Monday Night Raw and even canceled an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show that was scheduled to take place after WrestleMania.

There have been plenty of rumors about Banks' future in WWE. Obviously, some believe she'd like to move over to the AEW promotion, but the company isn't going to release her or any other notable talents from their contracts. It obviously didn't work out for The Revival or Luke Harper, so it's not going to happen with the former Raw Women's Champion.

But according to wrestling journalist Tom Colohue,  WWE is not only refusing to release Banks from her contract, but they're also promising "a lot of big things" in order to get her back.

There have been reports that Banks could return at next Sunday's Money in the Bank pay-per-view, but that remains to be seen. It would be an opportune time to bring her back, especially as a potential surprise entry at the women's MITB match.

Bayley moved over to the SmackDown Live brand via the Superstar Shake-Up. It's quite possible one of the conditions for Banks' return will be for her and Bayley to reunite on the blue brand - which would open a chance for them to clash for the Women's Tag Team Championships.

What This Means

It remains to be seen what perks WWE will offer Banks if she comes back, but as of now, all signs point to her coming back. The company isn't willing to release Banks from her contract, but if they're bent on giving her what she wants, then she has plenty of good reason to come back in short time.
