Sasha Banks has been on hiatus from WWE since WrestleMania 35, but The Legit Boss appears to be closing in on a return to the squared circle.

On Oh, You Didn't Know (h/t Ringside News), Brad Shepard reported that "Banks’ return is imminent," and that "she’s in good spirits...ready to return to WWE." Shepard also added that WWE is simply "waiting for the right moment to bring" the former Raw Women's Champion back.

Banks and Bayley lost the Women's Tag Team Championships to The IIconics at WrestleMania 35, and rumors suggested that the former grew disgruntled over the booking decision and wanted to quit the company. At any rate, all signs point towards Banks coming back in the near future. It's simply a matter of when, not if.

Last month, Tom Colohue reported that Banks' hiatus from WWE wasn't "considered as anything too out of the ordinary." Colohue also reported that Banks has remained in contact with WWE, another clear indicator that she would be back with the company before long.

On top of that, Shepard reported that WWE had given Banks a "multi-year" deal worth seven figures - even though she signed a new contract with the company last year. It's unknown if Banks and WWE have actually agreed to a new pact, but we should find out more down the road ahead of her return.

Banks has been one of the top superstars since her promotion to the main roster. She's a four-time Raw Women's Champion, and The Legit Boss has put on many clinical matches and feuds against the likes of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. Having Banks back will be a huge boost to the women's division.

What This Means

It's anybody's guess how WWE will bring Banks back. Her long-time friend and partner, Bayley, moved over to SmackDown Live via the Superstar Shake-up. Would Banks move over there as well, or will she get her own program on Raw? We'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.
