Sasha Banks hasn't appeared on WWE television since WrestleMania 35, becoming disgruntled after her and Bayley were told at the last minute they'd be dropping the Women's Tag Team Championships to The IIconics.

WWE granted Banks time off to think over her future with the company, but over a month and a half later, a resolution hasn't been reached. Banks has posted a handful of cryptic messages on social media, but none that indicate if she'll be coming back or not.

Even though Banks was frustrated and upset backstage at WresteMania, Cathy Kelley revealed on Twitter that The Legit Boss was actually "happy and grateful" at the 'Mania after party.

It's been reported that Banks and Bayley believed they needed a longer run with the Tag Team titles, having only held the titles for 49 days. It was also said that both Banks and Bayley - upon learning they would drop the titles - protested by lying on the floor to further express their dissatisfaction.

Bayley has been drafted to the SmackDown Live brand, while Banks remains on hiatus. There are rumors that Banks will return at Sunday's Money in the Bank pay-per-view, but that remains to be seen. There's obviously a lot to be done if WWE is to bring Banks back, because she's clearly disgruntled with the direction of her character.

Tom Colohue recently reported that WWE has promised big things to Banks if she decides to return. She may have no choice but to go back, because the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently suggested that WWE could "freeze" Banks contract while she's on hiatus - thus foiling any hope she may have of getting released.

What This Means

Banks was being pushed as one of the main eventers in the women's division for some time, but WWE kept her title run with Bayley short and sweet. It's easy to see why she's frustrated with the direction of her character, but fans can only hope that she'll come back soon enough - because replacing a superstar of her talents is easier said than done.
