Sasha Banks Has Stayed In Contact With WWE [Rumor]

Sasha Banks has been away from WWE since WrestleMania 35, but it may not be long until we see The Legit Boss return as her hiatus closes in on three months.

According to Tom Colohue, Banks' break from WWE isn't "considered as anything too out of the ordinary," and a source said she "earned" time off following WrestleMania 35. On top of that, Banks and WWE are in "continual contact," which is an encouraging sign that she'll be back in the ring soon.

Banks has posted a handful of cryptic messages on social media since leaving WWE. But interestingly, Colohue added that Vince McMahon is actually "a fan" on her posts which suggest that she could be considering the idea of "switching sides."

WWE insider Brad Shepard recently reported that Banks received a multi-year contract offer worth seven figures. It should be noted that the former Raw Women's Champion signed a new contract with the WWE.

Banks took a hiatus from WWE after WrestleMania, when her and Bayley (the inaugural Women's Tag Team Champions) dropped their title belts to The IIconics. It was reported that Banks was unhappy with having to drop the titles, and it made her want to "quit" WWE. She also canceled an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show following the WrestleMania event.

That was nearly three months ago, and it remains to be seen what will happen with Banks. Bayley went on to win the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match, and she cashed in her contract soon after to win the SmackDown Women's Championship. If Banks returns, it'll be interesting to see if her and Bayley will be used together in the same storyline again,

What This Means

It only feels like a matter of time until Banks comes back to the WWE. There hasn't been anything to indicate as of late that she's planning to leave. WWE has had plenty of time to work out a big return for Banks, and it could come at any point now.
