Sasha Banks hasn't appeared on WWE programming since WrestleMania 35, and though she's stayed silent on her future with the company, the former Raw Women's Champion has been active on social media.

Banks has been posting a handful of cryptic messages on Twitter and Instagram with mysterious messages. This time, Banks shared a photo of her sitting down in the middle of an NXT ring, with a puzzling caption.

This is one of the many perplexing messages Banks has posted on social media over her two-month hiatus. The Legit Boss reportedly grew unhappy at WrestleMania 35, when she learned that her and Bayley would be dropping the Women's Tag Team Championships to The IIconics.

Banks reportedly believed that her and Bayley should have had longer runs with the championships, but WWE decided last-minute to put them on The IIconics. It was later reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Banks wanted to quit after WrestleMania, but she hasn't outright said this - and WWE has remained quiet on the rumors as well.

That said, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com recently said "indications are that" Banks will be returning to WWE "when the time is right." She signed a new five-year contract with WWE last year, so it's highly unlikely that the company would grant her a release - even if Banks wanted it.

There were rumors that Banks would make a return at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view last month, but it never took place. Her former tag team partner, Bayley, moved over to SmackDown Live and is currently the SmackDown Women's Champion. It'll be interesting to see what WWE does with Banks when she returns - whether it means competing again for the Women's Tag Team titles or entering another feud elsewhere.

What This Means

Banks continues to remain silent on where she stands in WWE, and the mysterious posts have only left us more curious. That said, there aren't any indications that her and WWE are heading for a split. It really only feels like a matter of time until she comes back to the company, but it's anybody's guess when it'll happen.
