You may have heard the news Sasha Banks canceled her appearance on the Wendy Williams Show, and that she was reportedly involved in a backstage incident at WrestleMania 35.

Well, we finally have some more details on how sinister the Banks' situation was in East Rutherford last Sunday. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Ringside News), somebody in WWE said that Banks attempted to quit the promotion before WrestleMania.

This came after Banks found out that her and Bayley would be losing the Women's Tag Team Championships to The IIconics in a four-way tag team match. The Legit Boss apparently only found out on the day of that they were going to drop the title belts.

The whole situation revolving Banks is something to monitor closely now. Perhaps her dissatisfaction with WWE's booking choice played a factor in her decision not to appear on the Wendy Williams Show.

Slice Wrestling was first to report the incident about Banks being involved in a backstage incident at WrestleMania 35. The former Raw Women's Champion obviously isn't pleased with WWE's direction of her character, and you can't help but wonder if she's really going to end up leaving in the immediate future.

The Revival and Mike and Maria Kanellis reportedly requested their releases earlier this year. WWE responded by giving The Revival the Raw Tag Team Championships, seemingly doing everything in their efforts to keep them happy. With AEW serving as a possible new home for disgruntled wrestlers, it's not crazy to envision Banks looking to leave WWE in the immediate future - especially if the company isn't willing to give her another major push.

What This Means

Well, this would be a huge mistake by WWE if they mismanaged Banks to the point where she wants out. The Legit Boss is one of the greatest female wrestlers in the world, and if WWE isn't going to give her the push she wants, Banks has every incentive to consider a move to another promotion. We'll have to wait and see how all of this plays out.
