Sasha Banks has been instrumental in helping WWE build up its women's division, and the four-time Raw Women's Champion is being rewarded for it.

According to Wrestle Votes, The Legit Boss recently signed a new contract with the WWE.

Banks is just 26 years of age and has already put together an impressive career with the WWE. Given her importance to the women's division, a new contract for Banks had to be a no-brainer for Vince McMahon and co.

WWE has been busy getting its bigger talents under new deals. Kevin Owens recently revealed that he signed a five-year contract with the WWE, while Brock Lesnar was extended before WrestleMania 34. Big Show also signed a new contract with WWE that allows him to wrestle and work as an ambassador. The term of the deal is three years.

Banks has been an integral part of the WWE roster since being drafted to the Monday Night Raw brand in 2016. Besides the four Raw Women's Championships, she's been extremely popular among the young fans and has some of the top merchandise sales, as Wrestle Votes noted.

Banks and Charlotte Flair competed in the very first women's Hell in a Cell match in 2016, won by the latter. The Legit Boss also competed in the very first all-women's Royal Rumble back in January.

There's no doubting just how talented Banks is as a performer, and she's among the most decorated female talents to come around in recent memory. And at the end of the day, there was no way WWE wasn't going to extend her contract - given everything she's done to help it grow even more.

We don't know the full details of Banks' new contract yet, but we'll provide more details and information as it becomes available.
