The zombies at WrestleMania Backlash were wrestlers in makeup, and one of them might well have been more of a notable name than the others.

Before the match of the year contender between Roman Reigns and Cesaro, but after the terrific triple threat to open the show, WrestleMania Backlash was subject to a zombie invasion. Instead of wrestlers, the ring was surrounded by zombies for Damian Priest and The Miz's lumberjack match. Well, they were wrestlers really, just in zombie makeup.

Fightful has reported some of the names who were made up as zombies for the show. Most of the extras were performance center recruits whose names aren't widely known, at least not yet. However, fans think they have spotted a famous face among those recruits, but it is yet to be confirmed. Scotty 2 Hotty may have been one of the zombies. Take a look at the tweet below and judge for yourselves.

One of the photos posted on WWE.com shows the zombie that is possibly Scotty too. His inclusion on the show isn't as random as it may seem on the surface. Even though Scotty hasn't wrestled in WWE since an NXT Tag Team Title match seven years ago, he is now a trainer on the black and gold brand.

If you missed WrestleMania Backlash, zombies were used as lumberjacks since the show was sponsored by the upcoming Netflix movie Army of the Dead. Batista is the star of the movie and actually narrated the opening for last night's PPV. However, when confronted about the idea to have people dressed as zombies be a part of the show, the former World Champion wanted to make it clear he had no part of that decision.

Where WWE goes with the zombie angle next is anyone's guess. Hopefully nowhere, but since Miz and John Morrison were last seen being consumed by an army of the undead, that, unfortunately, seems unlikely. Perhaps the two of them will be missing from TV for a while, or even worse, the virus will have overcome them and they will appear on Raw tonight as new members of the zombie horde.
