AJ Styles has earned himself a shot at the Universal Title. He will take on Seth Rollins at Money In The Bank.

Ever since the introduction of the Superstar Shakeup, it can take a little longer than usual for the dust to settle after WrestleMania. New chapters in storylines can't begin until wrestlers know which brand they will be on going forward. This week is the first time that can really begin to happen, as was demonstrated on Monday night's Raw.

The show kicked off with the announcement that a challenger to Seth Rollins' Universal Title would be decided before the end of the night. That would be done via the winners of two triple threat matches facing off in Raw's main event. The first triple threat was won by AJ Styles who overcame Samoa Joe and Rey Mysterio. The second winner was Baron Corbin who stole a pin on The Miz from Drew McIntyre.

That set up a main event match between Styles and Corbin. As you might have guessed, a Corbin win at that point would have provoked a very negative reaction from the crowd. Never fear as The Phenomenal One picked up the win. That means we now have four weeks to build to Styles versus Rollins which will take place at Money In The Bank on May 19.

On paper, this could well be the best matchup in WWE right now. It is certainly the first one that sprung to our mind when Styles arrived on Raw last week. Honestly, we thought we would have to wait a lot longer than a month to see it. No complaints here, although we are interested to see how this one ends. Someone has to lose.

Or do they? Don't forget that the match is taking place at MITB. Chances are it will be the main event. That means someone on the roster will have a MITB contract to cash in. That gives WWE the option of having a third party interfere in the match to cash in his contract and win. We're not necessarily fans of that, but as Rollins pointed out on Raw, he has both done that in the past and had a contract cashed in on him too.
