Fans have been split on whether WWE did the right thing turning Dean Ambrose when it did, and now Seth Rollins has weighed in on the topic.

It almost seems like a lifetime ago when Roman Reigns came to the ring on Raw and revealed that he was battling leukemia. After the shocking and emotional announcement, Reigns walked back up the ramp and a visibly upset Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose were there to meet him.

However, less than three hours later, Ambrose would turn on Rollins just moments after the two of them became Raw Tag Team Champions. Fans were given the happy ending to the night that was arguably needed, only to have it ripped away from them. Fans were split over whether it was the right thing to do at the time, and since WWE has continually used Reigns illness and absence as a part of the angle, it is still being discussed now.

Fans can tune in and tune out whenever they please if they don't like the product. What really matters is if the people involved are on board, and Rollins has weighed in with his opinion. During an interview on The Rock 105.3, The Architect said "You’re going to have the most eyes on you that night, that moment, and you’re going to get the most people talking about it."

However, the way the Intercontinental Champion spoke about the incident and the angle was somewhere between real life and kayfabe. Even though he acknowledged that Reigns' situation is "real life," he spoke about the heel turn as if it was Ambrose's idea rather than a storyline suggested by WWE. Funny enough, the interview reminds us a little of the promo Rollins gave to open this week's Raw when he blamed the show's real-life problems on Baron Corbin.

Whether you like it or not, WWE using real-life tragedies and issues is just part and parcel of its product at this point. Reigns isn't the first person to have a troubling part of his personal life exploited on WWE television and he won't be the last. He isn't even the only Superstar it is happening to right now. Ruby Riott unveiled a table to Natalya on Raw this week that had a picture of her dead father on it, and it will be present again at TLC.
