Former WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins has admitted that he isn't a fan of the company's Wild Card rule and hopes that SmackDown's move to Fox this fall could tighten things up.

The rule, which allows a certain number of stars to cross brands every week, hasn't gone down well with a huge section of fans and the company's talent isn't too thrilled about it either.

Kevin Owens has opened up on his feelings over the stipulation on more than one occasion and, in a recent interview with Newsweek, Rollins claimed he's getting tired of seeing the New Day and their pancakes every week.

“The Wild Card really muddled things up, to be honest with you,” he said. “Now you’re seeing those guys every single week. It used to feel special when I see the New Day, but now they’re eating pancakes backstage every chance they get on Monday, and I’m not a fan of that.

“I think once you see the move to Fox, it’s really going to tighten down as far as best Wild Card options and stuff like. It’s really cool to see things come together now and get these cool match-ups you might not get in October or November.”

Rollins has stuck to the red brand in spite of the rule, stating "Raw is my gig" during the interview. He says that SmackDown's two-hour duration has convinced him that he doesn't need to get on any segments there, plus he wants to keep dealings with Shane McMahon to a minimal.

A lot of people don't get why this rule was put in place. It seems to have completely negated the Superstar Shake-up as wrestlers can pretty much show up on whichever brand they choose to. So one has to wonder what the point is.
