WWE continues to drop hints that Shane McMahon will be facing Braun Strowman at WrestleMania.

There are a number of Superstars Vince McMahon seems to have on WrestleMania speed dial. Wrestlers he calls up once a year to come back for the biggest show on the calendar. One of those people is Shane McMahon. In recent years, Shane O'Mac has wrestled the likes of The Undertaker and AJ Styles on The Grandest Stage of Them All. This year, his opponent could well be Braun Strowman.

Shane continued to drop hints that he is on a collision course with The Monster Among Men on Raw this week. For the second straight week, Strowman demanded a WWE Title match on Raw. This time, he wanted to be inserted into the picture with new champion The Miz and challenger Bobby Lashley. Shane interrupted his promo to inform him that's not how things work.

That's not all he did, though. The boss's son also threw some thinly-veiled insults Strowman's way, taking a shot at The Monster's brainpower. "In case there's a few neurons left in your brain that didn't quite grasp the concept of Elimination Chamber," were Shane's exact words. The comments were prompted by Strowman's continued annoyance over his exclusion from the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Title on Sunday.

Strowman continues to claim he should have been a part of the match even though entry was reserved for former WWE Champions. Strowman has been Universal Champion but is yet to ever hold the title The Miz now has. Last week, when Adam Pearce informed Strowman of that detail, The Monster angrily told Pearce to explain to Shane that he needs to make things right.

That's what sparked speculation that Strowman versus Shane will be on this year's WrestleMania card. Shane reacting by poking the bear in person this week pretty much means the writing is on the wall. WWE could be messing with us, of course, or plans could change between now and WrestleMania. There's even a chance the match goes down before WrestleMania, although if it is on the cards, that seems unlikely.
