Stephanie McMahon has spilled the beans on what Shane McMahon's role in WWE really is.

There has been much speculation as of late regarding the sale of WWE, as well as the power that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon could soon have as a result of the returning XFL, but one thing we haven’t been too sure about is the situation regarding Stephanie’s brother, the current Smackdown Live Commissioner, Shane McMahon.

During a recent interview with Bloomberg, Stephanie opened up on the situation regarding Shane backstage and has clarified some of the confusion regarding his status with the company. She said, “Shane is a really strong talent for us right now, but he isn’t actually an executive with the company.” We still don’t know whether Shane intends on looking for some power with the company, or if he’s happy to be an on-screen talent only at this point, but that’s likely to come up when Vince eventually does hand the reigns over to Triple H as he pursues his other ventures.

There will also come a time, I hope that is very soon in the future where Shane will run his course as an on-screen authority figure, and where that will leave him. WWE can’t use him as a permanent wrestler, and keeping him for part-time performances will take away a roster spot and money from another deserving wrestler.

Either way, this will be an interesting situation, and we’ll keep you updated if any developments do indeed occur, as it looks like the shift in power in WWE is fully underway.

So there you have it; Shane McMahon is strictly a talent for WWE at this point. What do you guys think? Is this the right position for Shane-O’Mac? Does he deserve to be an executive if he wants the position? Is he wearing out his welcome as commissioner? Let us know all your thoughts in the comments below.
