Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns is receiving criticism from all over as of late. But he should know by now that it's time to sort himself out as Shaquille O'Neal has gotten involved.

Shaq, one of the best to ever play the game down in the post, is a four-time champion who won titles with the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat. And, despite basketball's evolution, he's still one of the best examples around for young big men trying to make a name in the game.

The Diesel now works as a basketball analyst and has undertaken a few other ventures since his retirement. But, no doubt, his favorite thing to do is break games down while sharing his own unique view on today's game.

Shaq seemed quite unimpressed with the young center, who signed a $190 million, five year deal with Minnesota last month but isn't playing near the level he should be for someone making as much bank.

The 23-year-old has averaged 16.3 rebounds and 8.8 rebounds from his six games played so far this season, with the Timberwolves only winning two of these games, falling way below prior expectations.

Towns could have been forgiven for his sub-par numbers had he simply shown better body language. But he's left a lot of people upset over his attitude. And if you watched the video above, you'd see him miss a lazy three against the Toronto Raptors and then ask Tom Thibodeau to bench him.

The player has lots of people scratching their heads. But Shaq has done a lot more than that and has spared no punches in his recent criticism of the T-Wolves center.

"He got the max dollars now, he gotta pull his panties up and play," Shaq said on TNT's Inside the NBA after Towns' latest showing of poor taste.

Sad thing, though, Towns might probably lose some more confidence if he hears this.
