Shaul Guerrero, the daughter of WWE Hall Of Famer Eddie Guerrero, has landed a new role as an announcer for AXS TV's Women Of Wrestling.

There are a few surnames in professional wrestling that are simply synonymous with the business. They've been around for what feels like as long as the industry has and show no sign of going anywhere anytime soon. The McMahons, the Harts, even the sometimes confusing Samoan dynasty although not all of its members have the same last name.

That list is obviously not complete without the name Guerrero. Members of the Guerrero family have been stepping between the ropes for decades. The most famous, of course, is former WWE Champion, Eddie. In 2005, the WWE Hall Of Famer was tragically taken from us far too soon, however, what you might not know is his daughter, Shaul has been following in his footsteps for a number of years.

In fact, the third generation Guerrero has just landed herself a new role in the wrestling business as Women Of Wrestling's ring announcer. Guerrero has recently been ring announcing for Lucha Underground which is where WOW's current announcer, David McLane first heard her doing her thing. It was then and there that the creator of GLOW (the promotion, not the Netflix series) knew who he wanted his replacement to be.

"I was standing near the back of the arena and heard a powerful, dynamic voice in the ring," McLane explained. "I had no clue at the time that it was Shaul Guerrero. I just knew whoever it was needed to be the new ring announcer of WOW.” Guerrero is equally as excited to get started, and the link between McLane and her family isn't something that's lost on her. "Working with WOW is a dream come true, and a bit of a twist of fate that David McLane is passing the mic to me—my Uncle Mando trained the GLOW girls back in the ‘80s for David," Guerrero pointed out.

Guerrero hasn't only announced wrestling, she has also stepped into the ring and performed herself. In fact, the third generation wrestler was actually under contract with WWE for almost four years, wrestling under the name Raquel Diaz and becoming the longest reigning FCW Divas' Champion ever. Her career has evolved since then and from now on if you want to catch Guerrero, you'll be able to do so by tuning in to WOW on AXS TV. Her first tapings will take place this October and will likely air in early 2019.
