Speculation that Shawn Michaels will return for one more match has started up again following his heated in-ring segment with The Undertaker on Raw.

WWE proudly boasted that Shawn Michaels would be making an appearance this past Monday night on Raw, and rightly so. Any time the Heartbreak Kid is going to be on WWE television is cause for celebration. The rumor prior to Monday was that Michaels would somehow get tangled up in the Super Show-Down match between The Undertaker and Triple H, possibly declaring himself the special guest referee for the bout.

While HBK was there to talk about that match, it wasn't so that he could insert himself into it in some way. The WWE Hall Of Famer wound up coming face-to-face with The Undertaker who had some choice words for Michaels. The Deadman retired the former WWE Champion at WrestleMania XXVI, but questioned why Mr. WrestleMania himself has never gone back on that and returned for more matches.

Michaels argued that it was out of respect, while Undertaker hypothesized that it's more likely fear which is keeping Michaels from wrestling again. The whole thing sounded like the seeds being sewn for a Shawn Michaels in-ring return, and according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, that's exactly what it was. Meltzer reported that HBK is scheduled to wrestle before the end of 2018.

In fact, the exact date that Meltzer is reporting Michaels will return to in-ring action after almost a decade away is November 2, 2018. That's the day WWE will be staging its second big event in Saudi Arabia. Vince McMahon tried to coax Michaels out of retirement for Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia earlier this year. HBK didn't go for it then, but perhaps something has now changed.

If all of that's true, then the question remains, who will Michaels' opponent be? Raw this week made it look as if it will be The Undertaker, however, HBK has said in the past that the only wrestler he would return for is Triple H. There's also a dream match on the table between him and the man he helped train, Daniel Bryan. Maybe if he does wrestle in November, it will be like the first time he came out of retirement and once he gets another taste for it, we could see another run from The Showstopper.
