The Shield reunited on Raw and made sure that Roman Reigns left Brooklyn with his Universal Title intact.

Roman Reigns finally overcame Brock Lesnar on Sunday night at SummerSlam, bringing the curtain down on The Beast Incarnate's 500+ day reign. The Big Dog might not be the most popular guy in WWE but he certainly made a popular decision just one day into his title reign, declaring that his first challenger would be Finn Balor later that night on Raw.

As Reigns pointed out, Balor never got the title rematch he was owed after relinquishing the championship due to his shoulder injury. Well, he has now. The Irishman nearly prevailed too. Braun Strowman coming to the ring with his Money In The Bank briefcase distracted Reigns, but after dodging a Coup De Grace he gathered himself and hit Balor with a spear to pick up the victory.

As you might have guessed, however, Strowman was striding to the ring so that he could cash in on the winner. The second that bell rang, The Monster Among Men climbed into the ring and kicked Reigns to the mat before handing over his contract. It was at that moment The Shield's music hit, and Strowman knew he has made a big mistake as Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins joined the party.

Together, the newly reformed Hounds Of Justice thwarted Strowman's cash-in attempt, finishing the night by putting the big man through the announce desk via a triple powerbomb. Whether the cash-in attempt was official or not remains a mystery though since as far as we can tell, even though Strowman handed over the contract, the bell never rang to signal the start of the match.

In late 2017, WWE tried to get a Shield reunion off the ground a couple of times. Thanks to injuries and illnesses it never really happened. Now that all three members of the iconic faction are fit and healthy, it looks as if the reunion is finally going to stick. If Lesnar does indeed get the Universal Title rematch that Paul Heyman wants for him at Hell In A Cell, The Beast may need to watch his back for Ambrose and Rollins lurking at ringside.
