Sin Cara has teased what could be a dream partnership between himself and future WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio Jr.

The 41-year-old pro has been out since last August, having suffered a worrying knee injury which prompted the removal of scar tissue.

He is inching closer to an in-ring return, however, and was spotted at the WWE Performance Center around the midpoint of last month. It has since been reported that he could work with fellow masked star Mysterio when he returns.

A recent tweet from the luchador also suggests he could form a tag partnership with Mysterio in future, with Cara having posted a photo of his mask alongside the one belonging to the 619 star with the caption: “Almost time to be back and ready to be the best that I can be. Future Tag Team!?”

This comes at a very interesting time and fans would probably be well within their rights to start feeling excited as the WWE is reported to be considering a faction consisting of Cara, Mysterio and Andrade.

The latter has been pretty impressive since he made the step up from NXT last year and was one of the final four in the recent Royal Rumble.

Per Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, the WWE is looking to push Andrade, whom they want to be the face of their Hispanic market moving forward.

What This Means

A stable with the aforementioned trio could become a huge draw for the WWE if it comes to fruition. The company is believed to be keen on strengthening their tag division to counter the expected tag focus from AEW; teaming the three up could give them a bit of an advantage over their new competitors.

Of course, it would depend on how quickly Sin Cara can get back into the ring. But, from all indications, the livewire star is closing in on a return
