The final viewership numbers for the post-Elimination Chamber episode of SmackDown are in.

According to Showbuzz Daily (h/t Marc Middleton of WrestlingInc.com), last week's show averaged 2.145 million viewers on FOX, finishing with a 0.54 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

SmackDown surpassed two million viewers for the second straight week, although the numbers were down considerably from the Feb. 19 episode that drew 2.217 million viewers.

Despite the drop in viewership, WWE officials and FOX should be pleased with the numbers to open up the new year. SmackDown has now reached over two million viewers in eight of the first nine weeks of 2021.

SmackDown averaged 2.180 million viewers in 2020, per WrestlingInc.com's viewership tracker. Five episodes in 2021 have surpassed that number, with the Jan. 22 show leading the way at 2.383 million viewers.

Elsewhere, Monday Night Raw on USA Network has constantly struggled to reach the two million mark since last year.

On last week's show, Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair officially Sasha Banks to a match for the SmackDown Women's Championship at WrestleMania 37. This is one of two confirmed matches for the Show of Shows, along with Edge vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.

The post-Elimination Chamber episode also focused on the Reigns-Daniel Bryan feud ahead of the former's showdown with Edge.

Reigns defeated Bryan at Elimination Chamber to retain his Universal Championship. However, Bryan will receive a rematch at the Fastlane pay-per-view on March 21 if he can defeat Jey Uso in a steel cage match on this week's episode of SmackDown.

SmackDown Continues To Get Better And Better

It's not surprising to see SmackDown sustain strong ratings. The booking has been nothing short of brilliant. For starters, the WWE Universe is totally behind Reigns' run as a heel, and his program with Edge will only help viewership. The Banks-Belair feud will also go a long way in making the SmackDown product that much better. All in all, there's no reason to believe the SmackDown ratings will go down as long as the booking remains strong.
