On this week's episode of the Smart Marks of Wrestling Podcast, we try to be positive, but it's hard with the new WWE Wild Card Rule.

Episode 8 will cover a few things including the new FireFly Fun House video, Daniel Bryan and Rowan winning the SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles, and WWE's Creative Writing video. But, most of the show will center around the Wild Card Rule.

The Wild Card Rule almost completely eliminates the need for the Superstar Shake-up and with WWE so confused as to how the rules should be put in place, it's no wonder the company is being dragged through the mud by fans and ratings are sinking like a stone.

Show Notes:

They say, 'if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.' If that were true, this week, we'd have no show. WWE did a terrible job, outside of a couple of bright spots, pushing their upcoming pay-per-view, they didn't explain or follow the rules of their Wild Card exemptions, and they're doing an awful job in building stars. Having that said that, it's like a case of deja vu.

Brandon and Jim open the show talking Wild Card Rule, what it means, how it affects the future and if there is a way to make it work. They move on to AEW's tv deals and what that means for both companies and get into some ideas on how WWE can get themselves out of this mess.
