Roman Reigns returned on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw to announce that his Leukemia is in remission, and he's being advertised for a match at the Fastlane pay-per-view in Cleveland.

More specifically, the Quicken Loans Arena is advertising a Reigns-Seth Rollins match against Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre. But this match may be more than a 3-on-2 handicap bout.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestlingInc.com), plans are calling for Dean Ambrose to be added to the Fastlane match on this week's episode of Raw, meaning The Shield will be reunited once again.

That would make it a six-man tag match, but it's also possible that Braun Strowman sides with The Shield, while Elias would join Lashley's team - thus making it an eight-man tag team match instead.

So unless plans change at the last minute, it sounds like WWE is preparing to turn Ambrose babyface yet again, following a lackluster heel run. Keep in mind that Ambrose is set to leave WWE after WrestleMania 35, so it sounds like WWE wants to give The Shield one last run together before "The Lunatic" leaves the company.

The Shield was reunited for a brief period in late 2017 and for parts of 2018. Ambrose unfortunately suffered a torn triceps in Dec. 2017 and was out of action for eight months, finally returning at the August SummerSlam pay-per-view. Two months later, Reigns revealed his Leukemia diagnosis and had to step away for four months.

Assuming Ambrose is leaving the WWE for good after WrestleMania, that means there's a month left (at the max), for The Shield. As Ambrose braces himself for what will be an emotional departure, the WWE seemingly wants to ensure he goes out on a high note.

What This Means

Well, it's good news for long-time supporters of The Shield. Ambrose's run as a heel felt forced and didn't get over with the fans, so WWE is ready to correct its mistake by giving him one more babyface and Shield run before he leaves.
