Steph Curry has received an invite from NASA to see proof that humans, particularly Americans, landed on the moon.

The Golden State Warriors superstar point guard recently featured on Vince Carter and Kent Bazemore's Winging It podcast along with teammate Andre Iguodala. And during a discussion about dinosaur sounds - we're not sure why they went there - Curry asked if the others believed that America ever put a person on the moon.

“We ever been to the moon?” he asked. Everyone promptly agreed that Americans have never been to the moon.

“They’re going to come get us,” he added. “Sorry, I don’t want to start conspiracies.”

Curry was asked to explain his thinking by Annie Finberg, a digital content coordinator for the Atlanta Hawks who also hosts said podcast. And he proceeded to state that he did not believe Americans ever landed on the moon.

NASA, in turn, has extended an invitation to the sharpshooter to come visit their Houston lab "the next time the Warriors are in town to play the Rockets".

“We’d love for Mr. Curry to tour the lunar lab at our Johnson Space Center in Houston, perhaps the next time the Warriors are in town to play the Rockets,” NASA spokesman Allard Beutel said, via the New York Times.

“We have hundreds of pounds of moon rocks stored there, and the Apollo mission control. During his visit, he can see firsthand what we did 50 years ago, as well as what we’re doing now to go back to the moon in the coming years, but this time to stay.”

Curry isn't the only one who thinks that the moon landings between 1969-1972 never happened. In fact, he's only one of possibly millions who believe it's all a conspiracy.

“There are answers to all the questions raised by the nonbelievers," NASA state on their website.

"But one of the strongest arguments is that all the Apollo missions were independently tracked by England and Russia (our allies and enemies), both of whom sent letters of congratulations after the moon landings. In the midst of a heated space race, the Russians would have called our bluff if the landings had not actually happened.”

What This Means

Curry is the second NBA player to make life difficult for science teachers in recent times. The US education system has only just recovered from Kyrie Irving's flat-earth claims, and they're now staring another huge problem in the face.

Kyrie has since gone back on his statement - sort of - and has apologized to kids and teachers, but it might be a while before Curry does the same.
