WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin does agree that Becky Lynch shares similarities with him.

The Man has often been compared to The Texas Rattlesnake on account of her fearlessness and confidence. And, speaking to Bleacher Report to promote his new show, Straight Up Steve Austin, which debuts on USA Network on August 12, he delved into their relationship and the way he's gone about giving her advice.

Lynch, who lives quite close to Austin, will be one of the former star's guests on his upcoming show.

"I won't specifically tell you what I told her, but I will tell you this," he explained, "and it's what I tell everyone who asks me for advice: 'This is the way Stone Cold Steve Austin did it, and it is just one way. Take it and process it, and whether you use 30 percent of it or 100 percent of it, use my advice in a way that applies to you rather than to me'.

"I take zero credit for her success. She's the one going out there, doing her own thing and laying it on the line. There's a lot of similarities between The Man and Stone Cold Steve Austin."

Austin was also asked if he's seen any differences on Monday Night Raw since Paul Heyman's appointment.

"I have been traveling extensively since I went to do the Raw Reunion in Tampa, so I haven't been able to see Paul Heyman's fingerprints on the show yet," he explained. "But I did see him right before I went down [to the ring] to see the crowd in Tampa [during the Raw Reunion Special]. And he just told me to knock 'em dead.

"That promo was completely ad-libbed, and very unlike a Stone Cold Steve Austin promo. And when I dropped the mic, and I asked, "How much time do we have left," and I was told "10 minutes." It's a live show, and so there was a lot going on there."

A question on All Elite Wrestling was always sure to come up, and come up it did.

Asked for his thoughts on Tony Khan's new promotion, Austin replied: "Good! I love competition, and Vince [McMahon] does too. A lot of my friends are over there, and it gives people who aren't with WWE the opportunity to be employed and have a job. I see it as nothing but positive. We'll see how they do."

Austin's new show will see him interview celebrities while participating in some very Stone Cold activities like drinking beer and off-road monster trucking. Apart from Lynch, he will be hanging out with Rob Riggle, Gabriel Iglesias, Trace Adkins, and Dale Earnhardt Jr, hopefully among many others.
