Perhaps the biggest beer swiller in all of wrestling history Stone Cold Steve Austin has given up the booze, at least for now.

During the latter half of the 1990s, the wrestling business was a very different place to what it was before and what it is now. Back then, WWE wouldn't have cared about putting on shows in controversial countries. We mean, it doesn't seem to care now, but back then Vince McMahon would have taken some shots back at the people who have shamed them for it.

We're not suggesting that's either a good thing or a bad thing, just that WWE didn't care about the opinions of others back then. It wanted Raw to seem like a lawless, chaotic pocket of the industry each and every week. That's why during that period, the company's top star spent most of his time flipping people off, beating up his boss, and drinking beer after beer.

If you don't know who we are referring to, then you need to bone up on your wrestling history. The man in question is, of course, Stone Cold Steve Austin. A large part of Austin's gimmick was drinking beer, mainly to celebrate after winning his matches. However, fast forward to 2018 and it would seem that The Texas Rattlesnake has given up the booze.

On a recent episode of The Steve Austin Show, the Hall Of Famer revealed that he hadn't consumed any alcohol for 14 days. "No alcohol and when you hit the weights on a consistent basis and eat what you're supposed to, it is amazing the difference that you can make," Austin explained. He also revealed that coupled with drinking less and eating right, he has also taken up DDP Yoga.

More and more wrestlers and ex-wrestlers are taking up DDP Yoga. However, we did not expect Austin to be one of them. DDP has commented on how he's been nagging the former WWE Champion to do so as the pair has been close friends for years. Clearly, Page's determination has paid off and surprisingly, Austin loves the program. The Bionic Redneck did not say whether his choice to give up alcohol is a permanent one, however.
