Stone Cold Steve Austin has revealed that he has not given up alcohol and that it just isn't a part of his diet at present.

During a recent episode of The Steve Austin Show, Stone Cold spoke to his wife, and his listeners, about the diet he is currently on. He revealed that the pounds are falling away and that he is currently in terrific shape. Austin credited that to three things. His caloric intake, DDP Yoga, and not having consumed alcohol for 14 days.

Austin revealing that he had not had an alcoholic beverage for two weeks basically sent the internet into a state of panic. We here at The Sportster even reported on it, suggesting that The Texas Rattlesnake had swapped beer for yoga, of the DDP variety, of course. As it turns out, the Hall Of Famer hasn't gone tea total, at least not permanently.

Stone Cold had obviously seen the storm he had created by telling the world he was off beer and used his podcast once again to this time inform us that it is not true. "I didn't swear off alcohol forever...I enjoy alcohol responsibly as an adult, so therefore I will probably drink until my final day on Earth," Austin told listeners.

The reason that Austin had gone two weeks without a drink, and we're assuming even longer by now, is simply because he's on a diet. Once he is done with his diet, the drinking will once again commence. As mentioned above, the former WWE Champion is trying to keep his daily caloric intake at less than 2,700 calories. If you're drinking alcohol, that's an extremely difficult thing to do.

The man who became famous for quite literally pouring beer down his throat, and down himself, has not given up alcohol altogether. Austin does have his own line of beers, by the way, Broken Skull IPA, which seemed to be forgotten during the few days we thought he was off the booze. Next time Stone Cold makes an appearance on Raw or at WrestleMania, he will still crack open a cold one with whoever he's sharing the ring with. He just probably won't in the weeks beforehand so that he looks his best on TV.
