AJ Styles was lured back into the ring by Stone Cold with the promise of friendship, but all he got was another Stunner.

Monday night played host to a very special edition of Raw this week. That's because, for the first time in a decade, WWE's long-running show emanated from Madison Square Garden. As if that alone wasn't special enough, Stone Cold Steve Austin was in attendance to both open and close the show.

The very first thing fans at the show heard was the iconic sound of Austin's glass breaking. That was followed by an incredible pop from those in attendance. The show's first segment involved Austin overseeing a contract signing between Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins. As is often the case with signings, it did not go smoothly. The occasion was interrupted by AJ Styles and the rest of The OC.

Styles' mouth got him in trouble, and The Phenomenal One wound up on the wrong end of a Stunner. Later in the night, after Raw had gone off the air, Styles had the chance to make amends. After his team lost a ten-man tag match in the main event, Austin returned to the ring. As Styles was taking his leave, The Texas Rattlesnake called him back and offered him an olive branch in the form of a Broken Skull IPA.

It seems as if the amount of persuasion it took to get Styles back in the ring, and the insinuation that Austin's beer isn't that good, was enough to rile Stone Cold up all over again. As both men toasted and sipped on a couple of Broken Skulls, Austin delivered his second Stunner of the night. Styles was the recipient once again.

With Raw in the rearview mirror, WWE will now be looking ahead to the second of two straight nights at MSG. SmackDown's guest of honor will be The Undertaker. As of right now, it seems as if Taker will be taking hits rather than doling them out like Austin. Since The Fiend showed no interest in tangling with Stone Cold, we're almost certain he will have his sights set on The Phenom.
