So many Superstars changed brands on Monday night that some of the switches had to happen off of television and were announced on Twitter.

Last year, the first-ever Superstar Shakeup saw a handful of wrestlers move from Raw to SmackDown Live and vice versa. It meant that the rosters were freshened up without having to have a whole new draft from scratch. On Monday night's Raw though, it became evident that this year's Shakeup is a much bigger deal than it was this time last year.

In total, 20 Superstars made the move from Raw to SmackDown Live, and Jinder Mahal along with Sunil Singh were the first to go. While Bobby Roode closed the show as the final name to move from the Blue Brand. In return, the only Superstar we know that is now the exclusive property of SmackDown Live is The Miz, although the blue brand will obviously acquire a lot more stars on tonight's show.

There were so many switches last night that there wasn't even enough time to announce them all on television. In fact, five switches were announced exclusively on social media. Those were The Ascension, Zack Ryder, Chad Gable, Mojo Rawley, and new father Mike Kanellis.

Last year's shakeup breathed new life into some wrestlers and, hopefully, that will be the case for some of the names above. Kanellis, in particular, is someone whose WWE career needs a boost. The former Impact Wrestling star was signed last year, and he hasn't really done much of anything since then. He may not have his wife Maria by his side for the time, but she can rejoin him if and when she returns to the fold. Gable going out on his own again could be interesting too if he gets the singles push he deserves.

That leaves us halfway through this year's Superstar Shakeup with the SmackDown Live roster looking pretty bare at this moment in time. Never fear though, tonight Paige and Shane McMahon will reveal the Superstars that they have acquired from Raw in return for the multitude of wrestlers that have left their show. The Miz will be on the show, of course, but who joins him is anyone's guess. If it's anything like this week's Raw it will be a jam-packed two hours.
