Taz has responded to Jim Ross saying people did not want to work with him while he was with WWE.

Earlier this week, the AEW announcer discussed Taz on his Grilling JR Podcast with claims the latter was considered a dangerous wrestler by WWE talent, who ultimately convinced chairman Vince McMahon to bury him.

“People thought his suplexes were dangerous, all this other stuff," Ross was quoted as saying. "A lot of the talents get back to Vince and say, ‘You know, I don’t really want to work with this guy. He’s dangerous.’ So they’d tell me that, but they’d tell Vince that. He [Vince McMahon] heard it enough and he saw that a lot of top talents were uncomfortable in stepping in the ring with Tazz. He finally took it to heart.”

Ross would also reveal his personal stance on the issues with Taz, noting he was in the former wrestler's corner.

"I was definitely in the minority," he claimed. "So I guess at the end of the day, Vince trusted my judgment but then he got unconvinced."

Taz, also now with AEW, responded to JR's take, pointing out he isn't known to have injured a single WWE talent.

"Sure it’s not Superstar & couple his buddies? Lol, I’ve talked about this “Taz is dangerous” thing on my show many times for years," he tweeted. "Those who heard it know the truth. So @JRsBBQ was there list of names of guys in WWE I “injured” via a Suplex? Was it 7 men, 3 or even 1? #zero."

An Unfortunate Case

In any case, it appears McMahon gave in on the back of the constant complaints. It's pretty sad as Taz joined WWE as one of the hottest names on the market, having impressed at ECW.

An injury gave WWE the opportunity they wanted to stop his push and, according to JR, the company was prepared to cut him when he had surgery.
