The Miz will probably be remembered as one of the best heels of the modern wrestling era, but he's taken the most lessons from a man who's spent all of his career as a babyface.

Miz spoke to Hot 94.1 in a recent interview and divulged who's been his biggest teacher in the industry, revealing John Cena's the one who's had the most influence on his career.

The two stars shared an entertaining rivalry when Miz joined Raw in 2009 and had a go at the biggest name in the locker room at the time. They would become Tag Team Champions on Raw two years later, rather forcefully, and the 38-year-old credits Cena for being an inspiration.

“Who have I learned the most from? I would say John Cena. Being in the ring with John Cena taught me how to become a main event caliber superstar,” he said (h/t 411Mania).

While Miz will go down as one of the best heels to ever grace WWE, it appears that Baron Corbin is gunning for the top rung. Corbin advanced in the King of the Ring tournament by beating Miz on Raw on Monday night and could possibly oust all challengers as he seeks to stake his claim.

Perhaps one of the most heel things the Miz has ever done came in the form of him turning the WWE logo upside down on his mics.

Asked for an explanation, he said: “You know, that happened a long time ago. So, I was basically trying to find a new way to be disrespectful because I was a villain at the time, a bad guy. And what’s more disrespectful than messing up the beloved trademark of WWE and turning it upside down. Because it was obviously, the way I looked at it was WWE was about The Miz, and I was making that show the most must-see show in WWE. And still am to this day, so that’s kind of where it all came from.”

Cena being Miz's biggest motivator should come as no surprise. The superstar is one of the most charismatic wrestlers we've ever seen and he's gotten to where he's at without having to turn heel in a business when even The Rock needed a push as a villain to get the fans on his side.
