It was confirmed on Thursday that the challenge set for by Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins to the Revival has been accepted and the match is official for WrestleMania 35 for the Raw Tag Team Championships.

Needless to say, it's going to be hard not to cheer for Ryder and Hawkins.

The already packed WrestleMania 35 card just got busier as The Revival vs. Hawkins and Ryder make for 16 official matches. The last name rumored to have a match of some kind is John Cena.

This match for the tag titles was hinted at on the go-home episode of Monday Night Raw with Hawkins and Ryder laying down the challenge to the current champions. Speculation was that a multi-team tag team match could be the end result of that challenge but when Ricochet & Aleister Black were added to the SmackDown side of the ledger this past Tuesday, another four-team match seemed unlikely.

News of the match first dropped when the Twitter account by WrestleVotes posted the idea of a match and that Ryder and Hawkins might actually be favorites to take the belts. Clearly the underdogs in the match, the duo are also fan-favorites and them winning would make for a feel-good story.  WWE later confirmed the match.

What This Means

Expect this match to be one that could make for a surprise winner. Hawkins has been on an especially bad-luck streak but since teaming with Ryder, has become much more upbeat and positive. The two are also great friends behind the scenes and were once a team that worked behind Edge as Edge was becoming one of the most popular stars in WWE.

Should the Revival lose, it will follow with rumors that WWE might consider splitting up Dawson and Dash.
