Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has dropped the first trailer for his soon-to-hit-television sitcom Young Rock ahead of the show's debut next month.

Young Rock will premiere on NBC on Tuesday, February 16 at 8 pm ET and will detail the former WWE superstar's formative years in comedic fashion. NBC gave the show a straight-to-series order last January.

"Young Rock" focuses on different chapters of Dwayne Johnson's life. From growing up in a strong and resilient family, to being surrounded by the wild characters of his professional wrestling family, to playing football at the University of Miami, the show will explore the crazy rollercoaster that has shaped Dwayne into the man he is today and the larger-than-life characters he's met along the way.

Johnson took to Twitter this weekend to post the series' first trailer, giving us a sneak peek into what we hope will be a very entertaining show.

So Here's The Deal

The show will run for 30 minutes every week and will be part of NBC's new one-hour comedy block on Tuesdays along with Kenan Thompson's Kenan. There's no word on how long Young Rock will be on for but, according to a report from Deadline, both shows might be done at the end of March as they could have short orders.

Filming for Young Rock began in November in Queensland, Australia, as well as at locations in and around Brisbane and South Queensland. Johnson and his ex-wife and business partner, Dany Garcia, are among executive producers.

WWE fans will be pleased to know they can catch the show between Monday Night Raw and NXT on Wednesday night, for the next several weeks post February 16. It isn't clear what will happen after the first batch of episodes but, if it's well-received, it will likely be approved for another term - unless it covers everything in one season, of course.
