Sami Zayn has the WWE Universe buzzing now after taking to Twitter and revealing that he spotted Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson at the WWE Performance Center on Wednesday afternoon.

Zayn said that he saw Rock there while working on his "rickety shoulders" and thanked the People's Champion for supporting his Sami For Syria campaign.

Next week's Monday Night Raw reunion special in Tampa Bay will see the return of many wrestling icons, but there's no confirmation if The Rock will be making an appearance. But the fact he was seen at the Performance Center has led to speculation that Rock will end up at the reunion after all.

It should be noted that Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t WrestlingInc.com), recently reported that The Rock won't be at the Raw reunion event. If he doesn't show up, then it's anybody's guess why Rock was seen at the Performance Center. Perhaps he's getting ready for a return to WWE down the road.

The Amalie Arena - the site of the Raw reunion episode - is listing the likes of D-Generation X, Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, Mick Foley and Ric Flair as some of the returning legends. For matches, they're only advertising Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon and Seth Rollins and & Becky Lynch vs. Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans right now.

The Rock has made a handful of one-off appearances for WWE throughout the years, including at WrestleMania 31 - where he and John Cena teamed up to fight off The Wyatt Family. Even if he doesn't show up at the Raw reunion show, we know it's only a matter of time until he makes another electrifying return to the WWE.

What This Means

If The Rock was at the Performance Center, then it's a good sign that he could be appearing in WWE again before long. Otherwise, it's anybody's guess why he was there. For all we know, he will end up making an appearance at the Raw reunion.
