WWE may or may not have secured an agreement with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for the former superstar to appear on SmackDown's first Fox show in October, but he's referenced in their brand new ad, along with a few other familiar faces.
The blue brand will move to the aforementioned network, with a special debut show set for October 4. And previous reports suggest that The Rock has been in talks over an appearance, which only seems fair as he practically named SmackDown.
The ad, which dropped this Friday and could be viewed below, features a number of random people incorporating wrestling into their everyday lives and jobs.

A waiter at a posh-looking restaurant breaks some glass after seeing WWE icon "Stone Cold" Steve Austin sitting at a table, then a surgeon does John Cena's You Can't See Me on a patient - who later gets up Undertaker style - and a young girl drops Becky Lynch's pose after spelling a word correctly during a spelling bee. A woman also pulls off an incredible RKO on a mannequin inside a store.
The likes of Kofi Kingston, Charlotte Flair, Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, Rey Mysterio and Ric Flair are all referenced, while a fan is shown frog splashing through a table. A few non-WWE celebs, such as Snoop Dogg and Gordan Ramsay, are featured as well. "We are all superstars" is the main message.
It's all pretty good-natured and fun in there, nothing like the brash violence you'd expect from a wrestling promo, although there's quite a bit. And fans seem to be totally cool with it judging from the comments.
Also, a brand new SmackDown Logo is teased in the minute-long video.
WWE desperately wants the Rock to be around when SmackDown debuts on Fox in a little over a month but there's no word on whether or not they've been able to reach a deal. Austin, though, has been a regular as of late and is already set to appear on Raw next month after spearheading the Reunion Special in July.
