You know you're on fire when, even during a pandemic, you outsell every competitor in your space by a wide margin. Such is the case for Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) who posted on social media Saturday that his brand of Tequila is shattering sales records.

Johnson's movies have grossed more than $10 billion across the globe but his new Tequila brand may out-produce all of that. Completely crushing numbers in the booze business, his new line of tequila, called Teremana, has sold more than 300,000 9-liter cases in its first year. This is despite launching in March—at the onset of COVID-19 lockdowns.

“Our entire Teremana team and myself are quite pleased and humbled that the brand is experiencing this incredible, off-the-charts success,” says Johnson in a recent Forbes article talking about the brand's success. Admitting there is more to do, The Rock posted that Teramana has become the biggest launch in spirits history. His 300,000 cases sold outdoes George Clooney's brand Casamigos who had held the record at roughly 200k cases.

Johnson noted, "So grateful & humbling to get this mind blowing news."

Now, Johnson needs to scale up production to stay ahead of swelling demand. The company is building new brick ovens and copper pot stills to increase production just in an attempt to keep the product in stock. It's a great problem to have, but one that Johnson is trying to help solve while also back on set filming a new movie.

What Does All Of This Mean For WWE?

While it's still great to have The Rock so heavily associated with professional wrestling, the busier Johnson gets and the more money he makes, the less likely he is to be involved in future WWE programs.

Buzz is that WWE would like The Rock to find time for a match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. How he'll find the time to do so with his schedule is another story.
