Thea Trinidad, formerly known as Zelina Vega, has reportedly signed a contract somewhere, though the company or if it's even a wrestling promotion remains unknown at the moment.

The pro wrestler was released by WWE late last year over her failure to adhere to the company's edict pertaining to third-party content. Trinidad, who is reported to have been making more from Twitch than she did with WWE, was handed her marching orders last November and was reportedly refused an audience with Vince McMahon.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer, Trinidad has signed a deal somewhere but all he can confirm is that it isn't with AEW - as a matter of fact, whatever it is will prevent her from working with Tony Khan's company. Meltzer noted the door isn't shut on a move to AEW in the future yet it might not be any time soon.

Zelina Vega

"The obvious choice would be reuniting [Andrade] and Thea Trinidad in AEW, which people have speculated about, but that won’t happen at least right now," he said, per WrestleTalk.com. "Trinidad has signed a deal, we don’t know with who or even that it’s with a wrestling promotion, but the deal she signed would not allow her to work for another wrestling company and it was not with AEW. It was a somewhat short-term thing and the door wasn’t shut on her eventually working with AEW but it won’t be any time imminently."

The Act Part 2?

There has been speculation over Trinidad and Andrade reuniting under the AEW flag. Andrade has indicated he's in talks with another company after securing his release from WWE earlier this month.

Unless he's discussing a move to whatever company Trinidad has struck a deal with, that is if it is a wrestling promotion, we likely won't be seeing another version of their act just yet, if at all.
