Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks saw pre-sale tickets for their upcoming Double or Nothing event sell out pretty quickly this week, per Wrestling Inc.

The AEW bosses held an event on Monday in which they dished out tickets for their first show and it proved to be a resounding success as not a single one was left remaining after 25 minutes, although fans claimed to have experienced long delays in the waiting room.

The new promotion tried their best to make sure fans got their tickets instead of scalpers, yet it has been reported that ringside seats which cost $211 have already hit the secondary market for thousands of dollars.

While pre-sale tickets are all gone, fans who were unlucky on Monday will get the chance to snag tickets for Double or Nothing when the general public sale takes place this Wednesday from 9 am PST/12 am EST.

So far, four matches have been confirmed for the event. Kenny Omega is set to face off with rival Chris Jericho, with the pair having gotten involved in an altercation during the former's unveiling last week.

Hangman Page will also be wrestling PAC, formerly known as Neville, while The Young Bucks will take on Pentagon Jr. and Fenix.

SCU (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) will face off with CIMA and two partners from OWE.

Following tickets being sold out, Matt Jackson joked that AEW will need a bigger building for their next show via Twitter. His brother, Nick Jackson, duly corrected him with a single word: "Stadium".

What This Means

The newly formed company seems to be picking up some pace as they head towards their first big exhibition.

As far as first impressions go, they will have to leave a huge one on spectators. But the fact that the public has been crying out for a worthy competitor for the WWE should help steer things their way. All they have to do is not mess up.
