One golf fan will have a story for ages after Tiger Woods hit a ball at him.

When you're at a sporting event it's always a good idea to keep your head up and your eyes open at all times as this will help prevent injuries from occurring. That could have been avoided had a Golf fan kept their eyes open. Colin Huack was recording a video of Tiger Woods when he was taking a shot on the par-4 11th hole when he got smacked by Tiger's shot.

While the video captured by Huack is a lesson for anyone,  the footage is cool though.

The story does have a happy ending for Huack, however. Woods gave him an autographed golf glove and he got a handshake from the 14-time major champ as well. The aforementioned video also went viral.

Overall, not a bad prize for getting whacked by a golfball. Woods, however, was not nearly as lucky as he would go on to double bogey that hole and that would knock him out of the lead of the 147th British Open. Woods finished tied for sixth place, finishing even on the round and -5 across all rounds of the tournament, while Huack got a nice story to tell his family out of the bargain.

At one point in time, it looked like Tiger was going to eclipse Jack Nicklaus' record of 18 majors. At 42-years of age, Woods is nearing the end of his golfing career and given the number of injuries he has had over the last almost-decade it would seem likely that Woods won't even come close to tying let alone beating that particular record, though most people do consider him to be the greatest golfer of all time. That isn't up for debate, and the legacy Woods leaves behind when he does retire will be great given that he managed to get a lot of young people into the sport who might have otherwise considered golf a stuffy game.
