Aside from the Women's Tag Titles which currently have no holders, no titles are scheduled to change hands at Elimination Chamber.
WWE's road to WrestleMania is a lot busier than it used to be. There was a time when the Royal Rumble would take place and then there was nothing until the biggest show of the year. That's not the case any longer. On top of all the episodes of Raw and SmackDown Live, there are still two more PPVs before we arrive on the grandest stage of them all.
Booking angles, shows, and matches is a difficult enough task as it is for WWE's writers. Trying to do it with so much action between Royal Rumble and WrestleMania is almost impossible. Take Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, for example. Both of them have already booked their spots at WrestleMania, so what does WWE do with them in the two months between now and the end of the road?
After this coming Sunday, one of those two PPVs, Elimination Chamber will be out of the way. As we have touched upon, WWE won't want to change too much and rock the boat right now. That's why it makes sense that the current rumor is that no titles will be changing hands this Sunday, according to Cageside Seats.
There is one exception to that. The Women's Tag Team Titles. The brand new titles are one of five championships on the line this weekend and since they currently don't have holders, they have to change hands. Six teams will step inside the Elimination Chamber and the last duo standing will be crowned WWE's first Women's Tag Team Champions.
The other four titles on the line, at the time of typing this, are the WWE Championship, Cruiserweight Title, SmackDown Tag Titles, and Ronda Rousey's Women's Championship. It's really no surprise that those titles will be staying with their current holders for the time being. The only one we can see switching to someone else if plans change is Daniel Bryan's title since he is defending it against five other Superstars.
