Triple H may have just teased a surprise result for this Sunday's In Your House pay-per-view when he pegged one potential underdog competitor as the "best in the world."

Charlotte Flair will face both Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai at Sunday's In Your House NXT Takeover event. Flair and Ripley are likely the two favorites going into the bout as both were recently battling over the NXT Women's Championship at WrestleMania. Charlotte, of course, may be the big favorite being the titleholder that is appearing on all three brands right now. But, it's neither Ripley nor Flair that Triple H believes is the best.

During a conference call promoting the PPV, The Game said Io Shirai is currently the best women's wrestler in the world. There's speculation that he sees a huge future for Shirai and that she may walk away from the event as the new NXT Women's Champion.

While probably considered an underdog, this move could make sense. Charlotte and Ripley have unfinished business and don't necessarily need the championship to keep their feud going. But, as an outside surprise victor, putting the strap around Shirai's waist might be an interesting twist.

That said, if that happened, it could give more insight about speculation Shirai is due for a call-up to the main roster. Why put the title on someone who will be leaving right away?

Who Is The Best?

There's been a lot of debate lately over who the best women's wrestler in the world is. Charlotte seems to be one of the favorites but there are plenty of female talents worth taking a look at.

From Bianca Belair to Sasha Banks, the current champions in Bayley and Asuka, all of these women might have a right to lay claim to the best in the business. That's not even counting talents like Hikaru Shida or Britt Baker of AEW. Is Tripe H right? Is Shirai the best?

If she wins the championship on Sunday, that might tell fans a lot about what WWE really tihnks of her as a potential star.
