Few people have changed and revolutionized the wrestling business the way Triple H has.

The 14-time World Champion has pieced together one of the most illustrious careers in WWE history. Aside from the title success and many unforgettable matches, Triple H also reinvented himself in ways that most other wrestlers could only dream of.

Triple H was instrumental in helping his future father-in-law Vince McMahon win the Monday Night Wars over WCW. The Game was a central part of the Attitude Era, which turned out to be a game changer in the wrestling business. He was also a key part of WWE's eventual transitions towards the Ruthless Aggression and PG Eras.

Today, Triple H serves as WWE's Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development, helping McMahon run the show from behind the scenes.

Triple H has helped with the rapid development and global following of the NXT brand, and he also put a major emphasis on growing the women's division.

Simply put, through his 25-plus years in WWE, Triple H has conquered just about every roadblock and obstacle in his way. That said, there's that one major challenge that he has admittedly struggled to overcome.

During an interview on WWE's The Bump (h/t Ringside News), Triple H shared the most difficult challenge he has faced with the company: Getting ready for a match after a lengthy period away from the ring:

"You see Taker talk about this, and other guys," Triple H said. "I don’t think I’ve ever had something harder in my career than moments where you don’t wrestle for an entire year, or longer. Or, a long, long period of time like that and you come out and it’s like ‘Okay, do this at the highest level.’ Try to continue adding to what you’ve done without letting yourself or anyone else down. It really is, that is the most difficult challenge I’ve ever faced. Having those times when you don’t wrestle for a year, the pressure is immense."

Triple H has gone through this challenge several times, having only wrestled on a part-time basis since 2012. 2020 also marked his first year in WWE in which Triple H didn't wrestle a single match.

Dating back to 2018, Triple H has only wrestled eight matches. It's unclear if he's going to wrestle in 2021, although A.J. Styles is hoping for a match with him at WrestleMania 37.

Triple H Always Finds A Way

No matter his age and any possible worries about rust, Triple H always finds a way to conquer his challenges and make it happen. He's never been afraid reach for the stars, and it's why he's such a well-respected icon in the wrestling business. It's also why he's suited to eventually take over the company from McMahon.
