On Monday, it was announced that the members of D-Generation X - Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chyna, Billy Gun, X-Pac and Road Dogg - will all be inducted into the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame class.

Michaels has already been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but the other members will make it for the first time. It's long overdue for the late Chyna to get in, and there was a lengthy debate as to whether or not she was deserving. Finally, one of the most influential female wrestlers of all-time will be inducted.

For Triple H, it was always going to be a matter of time until he got the call. He's still extremely active in the WWE, helping run the company while still performing a handful of matches every year.

In an interview with ESPN.com, Triple H explained what it meant for all the members of D-Generation X to get the call.

"I think it's the most meaningful for us all to go in together and to be recognized together. Because I think both groups were (just) as impactful.

It’s a funny thing, because DX was something that, before Kevin (Nash) and Scott (Hall) left, at the time we all talked about using ‘The Kliq’ as it was — kind of morphing that into television, since it was so out there anyways. But things worked out the way they did — they left, and the timing was right."

Triple H also talked about the decision to bring Chyna aboard, pointing out that "No one had ever had a female (enforcer), before." She was instrumental in helping build up the women's division in the WWE, and even though Chyna didn't leave the company on the brightest terms, there's no denying her induction was long overdue.

D-Generation X formed during the Attituda Era in the late '90s, when the WWE was losing in the Monday Night Wars to WCW - who were led by the villainous New World Order stable.

But together, the six members brought a new form of entertainment and style of wrestling. Before long, WWE had taken over WCW in the Monday Night wars, thanks in large part to the efforts of DX. Two decades after the legendary stable formed, they'll finally be part of wrestling immortality - and for good reason. There won't be a group like this again.

What This Means

It's only fair that all the members of D-Generation X get inducted together, since they were all responsible for the success of the others. This stable is widely recognized as the greatest and most iconic in WWE history, so their induction is more than deserving. Congratulations to all six members.
