Trish Stratus and Lita look to have once again left WWE but are rumored to be returning before WrestleMania 35.

One of the highlights of Sunday's night's WWE Evolution was getting to see some of the females of the past return to the ring. Michelle McCool, Ivory, Kelly Kelly and a whole host of others all stepped back between the ropes for the battle royal. We also got more of Beth Phoenix at the announce desk which is always a good thing.

However, the biggest returns came in the form of Trish Stratus and Lita. That's why the two WWE Hall Of Famers were not merely thrown into the battle royal with everyone else. They had their own match and wound up defeating the team of Mickie James and Alicia Fox. What's more, we got to see them in action for a second time 24 hours later in ten woman tag action on Raw.

That might have led some fans to think Stratus and Lita are sticking around for the long haul. However, judging by Trish's Instagram post, that is not the case. The seven-time Women's Champion posted a photo of her and Lita along with the caption "Thanks for having us WWE Universe... Team Bestie out." PWInsider has reported that it likely won't be the last we see of the two of them in WWE, though.

According to the wrestling news site's audio "there was talk of Lita and Trish in a big tag match for WrestleMania." What their roles will be on the grandest stage of them all is currently unclear. Some are speculating that Team Bestie's return could revolve around a set of Women's Tag Team Titles. It certainly seems as if WWE is about to introduce the new championships soon.

Whether Lita and Trish return anytime soon or not, they must currently feel good about their last few days in WWE. Stratus, in particular, looked like she could jump right back into a full-time schedule if she wanted to. Both of them have lives away from wrestling now, however. We will likely see them return to WWE sporadically, but never again on a regular basis.
