Trish Stratus and Alexa Bliss clearly want to compete against one another, but will it be a match we ever see in WWE?

This year we bore witness to the first ever women's Royal Rumble match. Since there aren't 30 female Superstars currently on Raw and SmackDown Live WWE needed to call upon some Superstars from the past. It made an extremely special match even more of a spectacle and we also got to enjoy some clashes that we never thought we would ever get to see.

Some of the best face to face encounters we saw included time standing still as Beth Phoenix and Nia Jax collided in the center of the ring and Lita running down the ramp only to be greeted by Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch. When Trish Stratus entered at number 30 though, it was pretty clear that everyone else left in the match wanted their chance to go up against her.

Two women who had to sit out of the Rumble festivities were Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. That's because they are the SmackDown and Raw Women's Champions respectively. Stratus revealed on ET Canada not so long ago though that she would love the chance to take on either of the current champions and apparently Bliss would in turn love to make that dream match happen.

The Raw Women's Champion also appeared on ET Canada and was shown the footage of when Stratus appeared. Bliss said on the show "I would love to get in the ring with Trish one day." Stratus saw the footage and replied on Twitter asking Bliss "would you love it when I beat you for that title?" closing out the tweet by thanking ET Canada for bringing the comments to her attention. At the time of typing this, Bliss is yet to respond.

The women's Royal Rumble match really felt like the start of something. Maybe two or three of the women that came back for it would realize how much they miss the business and come back for one more run. So far, that hasn't been the case, but the back and forth between Bliss and Stratus looks as if it may very well lead to something. For the time being though, the Raw Women's Champion has an impending match with Nia Jax to worry about.
