Allen Iverson’s step over Tyron Lue has been immortalized in the NFL after Lockett’s touchdown celebration on Sunday.

Throughout a players’ career, there are some moments they wish people could simply forget. Perhaps this is the case for former NBA player Tyron Lue, who was victim of one of the most iconic celebrations in the history of all sports in the 2001 NBA Finals after an incredible jump shot of Iverson. Unfortunately for the current unemployed coach, this moment is not only far from being forgotten by the basketball fans, but it’s already part of the most original professional football celebrations as well.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Locket decided to pay homage to the Hall of Famer emulating his step over Lue with the help of his teammate David Moore.

Lockett had an outstanding performance in Sunday’s 30-27 win over the Panthers, catching all five targets for 107 yards and an 11-yard touchdown. Besides, with the game tied at 27 and just over one minute to play in regulation, the 2015 Pro Bowler slipped behind cornerback Captain Munnerlyn and snagged a 43-yard pass to put the Seahawks at Carolina’s 10-yard line – setting up the veteran Sebastian Janikowski for a routine field goal to win the game.

After Sunday’s tight game, Lockett remains the highest-rated receiver in the league. This season, the return specialist has stacked up eight touchdowns and 661 yards. He has become the most reliable target for Russel Wilson with 43 catches on 53 targets. This campaign has been one of the most successful in the 25-year-old player's professional career, with the veteran and former number one Seattle receiver Doug Baldwin nursing one injury after another.

With this victory, the Seahawks are now in full command of a wild-card spot. Even though there are seven teams in the NFC that still have a legit shot to reach the playoffs, with three games left against the 49ers and Cardinals—who own only four victories between them—the chances for Seattle to get a spot to compete for the championship this year are quite promising.
