Dark Side of the Ring has released a preview of this week's episode featuring Ultimate Warrior's ex-wife.

Dark Side of the Ring's third season is in full swing, and episode four will air this Thursday. The new episode will cover the life and career of Ultimate Warrior, probably in a way many fans won't have ever seen before. It certainly won't be like the A&E doc on the Warrior that aired this past Sunday. Dana Warrior has made that clear following her comments on Dark Side's take on her late husband this week.

While Dana will not be a part of the Dark Side doc, Ultimate Warrior's first wife will be. Shari Lynn Tyree is someone wrestling fans likely aren't all that familiar with. She and Warrior would divorce in 1991, and a clip released ahead of this week's Dark Side episode reveals exactly why the two of them parted ways.

Shari explains how life changed for her and Warrior after WrestleMania VI. The sixth show of shows was arguable the biggest night of Warrior's career. The Hall of Famer went into that night's main event as Intercontinental Champion and would leave with the WWE Title after defeating Hulk Hogan. Warrior would relinquish the IC Title shortly after, but keep hold of wrestling's richest prize for almost 300 days.

Shari says that about two months after that historic night was when Jim Helwig became Ultimate Warrior. He would legally change his name to Warrior three years later. Warrior started staying on the road rather than coming home, and Shari feared he was being unfaithful. A call to her husband's hotel room would prove that to be true, and his day planner, which she discovered at home, confirmed her fears.

Warrior was served divorce papers when he returned home and the two would officially part ways almost a year later, just two days before WrestleMania VII. Warrior would go on to marry Dana in 1999. The two of them remained married until the day he died in 2014 and had two children together. Dark Side of the Ring's Becoming Warrior will air on Vice this Thursday, and you can check out a full recap of the episode here at TheSportster shortly after.
