If The Undertaker and John Cena are going to have a rematch then it looks as if SummerSlam could be a likely backdrop for the bout.

John Cena had an extremely interesting and unique build to WrestleMania this year. The sixteen time World Champion continually fell at every hurdle in his attempts to earn a spot on the biggest card of the year so eventually, he resorted to calling out The Undertaker. The Deadman did not respond, so Cena decided to sit with the fans at the show and just watch the action unfold.

As it turns out Cena had, in fact, struck a chord with The Undertaker, and midway through the show, The Phenom appeared to make the WWE veteran pay for what he had been saying about him. The match was exactly what most would want from an Undertaker match in 2018. It was short, sweet, played to The Deadman's strengths, and the sure-fire Hall Of Famer picked up the win.

Is that it for Cena and Taker though? A match that many fans had been waiting to see condensed down to a handful of minutes with The Undertaker getting almost all of the offense. According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live, we have not seen the last of the rivalry between the two. The wrestling journalist believes that a rematch could potentially go down at this year's SummerSlam.

"The more I think about it the more I think about them doing a built advertised match at SummerSlam," Alvarez said during a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Live. Apparently, The Undertaker is scheduled to appear at WWE's Madison Square Garden show next month and the build to a rematch with Cena could potentially begin there if all goes to plan.

If The Undertaker had disappeared again after WrestleMania then most would have likely accepted that there would be no follow up between him and Cena. However, a few weeks later he competed in a casket match with Rusev and apparently, WWE wants to use him more in the coming months. The Deadman's future is unclear right now but it seems as if he will not be resting in peace for a while yet.
