WrestleMania 35 is only 10 days away now, and major superstars like The Undertaker still haven't been formally confirmed for the big show yet.

Well, there's some bad news for fans who were hoping to see the legendary WrestleMania performer at MetLife Stadium this year. Brad Shepard appeared on the Oh, You Didn’t Know podcast (h/t Ringside News), and said that the expectation is that Undertaker will not be at WrestleMania next Sunday:

"WWE is now operating as if The Undertaker will not be at WrestleMania which is a big surprise to people internally. They did expect he would probably at least appear, they would work it out.

Doesn’t look like that’s going to happen now at least as of right now they’re operating as if he won’t be there. So very interesting."

This is going to come as a major shock and disappointment to wrestling fans, since WrestleMania is marks one of the rare times where we get to witness Undertaker. He only wrestles a few matches a year now, but one of them has always been on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Undertaker just turned 54 years of age, but it's hard to believe that injuries could be forcing him to miss the show. The Deadman has already been confirmed for the WWE's next show in Saudi Arabia on May 3.

This isn't the same case as last year, where Undertaker appeared on the day of WrestleMania 34. John Cena had challenged him to a match some weeks earlier and dared 'Taker to go up against him. It was obvious the whole time that The Phenom would appear at some point to face Cena.

Indeed, Undertaker appeared on the day of WrestleMania and easily defeated Cena. But with no realistic opponents at this stage, it's safe to fully believe that we won't be seeing him in East Rutherford next Sunday. Assuming he truly remains absent from the show, we should find out more information as to why Undertaker didn't perform on the stage that has made him a legend in the WWE.

What This Means

It's going to be a major disappointment to the WWE Universe if Undertaker doesn't at least show up in some capacity. He's seemingly in fine shape and capable of performing, so fans will at least want to hear the reason why he didn't end up performing. But then again, 'Taker always shows up when we least expect it. Perhaps another unexpected comeback is in store, but we'll have to wait and see in 10 days.
