Jey and Jimmy Uso have enjoyed a nice run in 2017, winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championships three times. Their current reign has lasted 73 days (and counting), having defeated The New Day at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view to capture the titles a third time.

But overall, The Usos haven't gotten as much spotlight as other tag teams, like The Shield, New Day, The Bar and others. And at this year's SummerSlam pay-per-view, The Usos only got to appear in a pre-show match against The New Day.

Jimmy and Jey spoke with WWE to discuss their disappointment in not being on the main card. Here's what the former had to say:

"Hell yeah, we felt slighted. You grind to get on these shows. One of the biggest pay-per-views of the year is SummerSlam. We had one of the hottest rivalries of the year with New Day going into SummerSlam. So to be put on the Kickoff was a slap to all our faces. Me, my brother and The New Day. We did our thing."

Despite their match not appearing on the main card, WWE.com listed their match vs. New Day as the fourth best of 2017. On top of that, the two teams' bout at Battleground came in at 11th on the list.

The Usos had every right to be disappointed about not appearing on the main card that night. Excluding the three pre-show matches, there were 10 bouts that took place on the card that night. It's surprising that the creative team didn't decide to include a match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

Nonetheless, The Usos have finally reached the top of the tag team division after being lost in the shuffle of other tag teams. They're living up to the Anoa'i family legacy just fine, and their main event run is just beginning.
