Velveteen Dream sprung to the defense of Vince McMahon earlier this week, pinning the blame for WWE's lackluster creative on the Superstars.
Most of us who watch NXT on a regular basis live in constant fear. A fear of what will happen tour favorite black and yellow branded Superstars once they are called up to the main roster. They are a lucky few who have struck it big, such as Seth Rollins and Charlotte Flair. However, for the majority, it would appear that Vince McMahon is at a loss when it comes to using them effectively.
It would seem that us NXT fans aren't the only ones afraid of what will happen to future call-ups. Triple H is becoming more and more selective with who stays in Full Sail and who leaves. In particular, wrestlers such as Shayna Baszler, Adam Cole, and Velveteen Dream. Plus, Johnny Gargano has returned from whence he came.
PREVIOUSLY: VELVETEEN DREAM CALLS OUT VINCE MCMAHON
Dream is the Superstar we are most afraid of seeing under the tutelage of Mr. McMahon. However, he seems to be the one who wants it most. The North American Champion once wore tights that read "Call me up, Vince" across the ass. Now Dream has come to the defense of the WWE chairman. He did so via his Instagram story earlier this week. You can check it out below courtesy of Pro Wrestling Sheet.
Dream used the platform to pin the blame for WWE's poor creative decisions as of late on his main roster peers. He kicked things off by typing "is it fair 2 critique Vince?" A couple of slides later Dream wrote "When TV sucks it’s because the actors and entertainers and stuntmen FAILED 2 entertain u." He then signs off by saying "it's ur 'favorites' that have 2 make it entertaining."
Dream has placed a lot of pressure on himself by going on the above rant. If he were already flourishing on the main roster, it would make more sense. However, if he arrives on Raw and SmackDown and doesn't deliver, the words he said this week will haunt him. We have complete faith in Dream's abilities as an entertainer and a wrestler, but who knows what Mr. McMahon will give him to work with once that time comes.
