Vince McMahon Announces Major Changes To WWE With Triple H, Stephanie, & Shane

WWE chairman Vince McMahon opened up Monday Night Raw alongside children Shane and Stephanie McMahon and son-in-law Triple H, pledging to fans that major changes were going to happen.

Firstly, Vince said he wasn't able to run the show by himself anymore, noting that there's a changing with the times. They talked about how Triple H built up NXT, with Stephanie later confessing that they haven't been doing a good enough job lately.

The Authority figures then said that they'll start giving the fans more of what they want, while acknowledging that they have been holding back some superstars. Triple H promised fans "New superstars, new faces, new matches," and told fans "You are the Authority."

Former Raw general manager Baron Corbin then came out and asked for his job back. It was then announced that he would face former GM Kurt Angle, with the stipulation being that Corbin would regain his power if he could emerge victorious.

It was a rare appearance for the WWE chairman, and he only comes on television if it's a major event or announcement. And this turned out to be a huge announcement, with few details being shared.

What Triple H, Stephanie, Shane and Vince meant in their speeches is anybody's guess, but they certainly came off as genuine. If they truly mean that huge changes are coming, then 2019 promises to be a fascinating one.

What This Means

There are countless changes WWE fans have asked for over the years. This has included turning John Cena heel, keeping Brock Lesnar away from the Universal Championship picture and improving the tag team division.

On top of that, some have asked for superstars like Cesaro, Finn Balor and Kevin Owens to get huge pushes. Perhaps WWE fans will finally get to see more of what they've asked for in 2019.

Better late than never, we suppose.
